Overview Dashboard
The Overview page is the first screen after onboarding. It requests current directory data through the Velauth broker and your organisation’s connected Agent; Velauth Desktop does not query Active Directory directly.
KPI cards
Section titled “KPI cards”The four cards are calculated from the users returned when the page loads.
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Active Users | Enabled accounts that are not locked |
| Locked Out | Locked accounts |
| Risky Accounts | Accounts whose computed risk level is Low, Medium, High, or Critical |
| Disabled | Disabled accounts |
If Velauth cannot load users through the broker and Agent, this area displays Not connected.
Status Breakdown
Section titled “Status Breakdown”The status chart shows the Active, Locked Out, Risky, and Disabled counts, with the total number of returned users. These categories can overlap; for example, a locked account can also be risky.
Risk Feed
Section titled “Risk Feed”The Risk Feed lists up to ten returned accounts with an elevated computed risk. Velauth considers signals such as:
- Authentication settings that weaken pre-authentication or password requirements
- Privileged-account and delegation indicators
- Locked, stale, or policy-exception accounts
- Password expiry and next-logon requirements
The feed is decision support, not an authorization control. Server-verified permissions and the broker’s safety gates still determine which operations you may perform.
Recent Activity
Section titled “Recent Activity”Recent Activity shows up to five entries from Velauth’s local, tamper-evident audit log. Select View all to open the full Audit Log.
If there are no entries, or the local audit read fails, the page displays No audit activity yet.
